ABOUT

ABOUT PAUL

For the last 12 years, Paul Hollis has served us in the House of Representatives. Now, he's ready to lead for us on the state Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE).

A husband and father, Paul understands the importance of quality education for our families. As a business-owner, he grasps the importance of building a qualified workforce that will help attract businesses and grow our state's economy. A conservative and a Christian, he is committed to educating our children with the things that truly matter - history, language, math, and science.

Paul is a proud product of our public school system having attended K-12 in Metairie and Louisiana State University where he graduated in 1994.

Paul Hollis does not embrace the new and "woke" ideologies that threaten to invade our children's classrooms and dilute their educations. He does support conservative approaches - not only in curriculum but in spending - and understands that throwing money at a problem doesn't guarantee improvement.

Our longtime BESE representative, Jim Garvey is not seeking re-election and has endorsed Paul to succeed him. Serving on a policy-making body of eight elected members and three appointed by the governor is a big responsibility. PAUL IS READY FOR THE TASK!

Paul and is wife of 22 years, Ashley Hollis, have a son, Zachary (10) and a daughter, Bree in college (19). Fun fact, he is an award-winning author and nationally recognized expert in rare coins and gold.
